My Corporate Background

My corporate journey was a wild ride – a rollercoaster of thrilling successes, opportunities for growth, and a sense of security that came with a hefty price tag. But for every peak, there were depths of monotony, draining politics, and a gnawing feeling of emptiness that no promotion could fill. No matter how hard I climbed, the lack of true fulfillment eventually became impossible to ignore.

For years, I felt like I was drowning in a sea of suits and spreadsheets. The monotony was suffocating, the politics were draining, and the lack of fulfillment left me feeling hollow. Yet, the thought of walking away from that steady paycheck and stepping into the unknown was downright terrifying. Where would I even begin? How would I make ends meet? Was I too old to start from scratch?

These fears chained me to my desk for far too long. But the desire for a more creative, more meaningful life eventually became a roar that couldn’t be silenced. With a heart full of hope and a leap of faith, I finally handed in my resignation. It was one of the scariest and most liberating days of my life.

The transition hasn’t been a walk in the park. There have been moments of crippling self-doubt, financial anxiety, and the daunting task of figuring out what truly sets my soul on fire. But there’s also been an unparalleled sense of freedom, a renewed energy, and the thrilling discovery of my creative passions.

The Catalyst for Change

The turning point came when I realized that life is too short not to follow one’s passion. A series of introspective moments and discussions with loved ones led me to take a bold step: a career break. This hiatus allowed me to explore my long-held interests in painting and design, and it was during this time that I discovered my love for graphic design and UX/UI.

Diving into the world of graphic design and UX/UI has been nothing short of exhilarating. I enrolled in various online courses, participated in workshops, and began working on small projects to hone my skills. The process of creating visually appealing and user-friendly designs has been incredibly fulfilling. I am constantly inspired by the potential to blend functionality with aesthetics, making everyday digital interactions more enjoyable for users.

The Learning Curve

Transitioning from a corporate role to a creative field was not without its challenges. The learning curve was steep, and there were moments of self-doubt. Currently, I am on a short career break, fully immersed in learning and creating. My goal is to eventually turn this passion into a thriving hustle. I am working on building a portfolio that showcases my skills in painting, graphic design, and UX/UI.
